2008/2009 CHRISTMAS CONCERT INFO
The Cox Family Introduces Our 2009 "A Comedy Christmas" Concert, December 12, 2009 6:00 - 9:00pm, Crump Theatre.
Last years 2008 Cox Family Christmas Concert was again a HUGE success. Over 275 people attended our 18th Annual Christmas Concert Held on December 20th at the Crump Theatre, downtown Columbus, Indiana. We performed alot of our traditional Christmas favorites, did some humorous skits, introduced for the first time the Cox Family All Womens Choir as well as the Cox Family All Mens Choir. This was a very exciting thing for us as we were able to introduce to Columbus other members of our family who have also been blessed with very good singing talents. Our children, once again, performed two songs and just seeing them all together on stage was a fun and exciting time for the rest of us. They are the future of our family and already possess the skills and talents to carry on "Our Family Legacy" in performing and singing. We sold some Christmas CD's, sold some "Baked Goods" and took donations at the door to help offset operating cost for the Concert. We want to thank Lincoln Central Neighborhood Family Center "Randy Allman & Diane Doup" for their continued help and support as they have been very instrumental in the success we have have had with all our Concerts. Performing in the Crump Theatre was Awesome! Alot of history exist within the walls of this theatre and the acoustics were outstanding. We are already in the planning stages for our 2009 Christmas Concert and look forward to Concert #19 to be as entertaining as any we have ever done. We thank ALL who attended, contributed and supported our 2008 Concert and hope more people will get a chance to come and see our next Christmas Concert.
Why We Do A "FREE" Christmas Concert
For 18 years, Lei'gacy has provided the citizens of Columbus, Indiana with a free Christmas Concert at the "Commons Mall". We did this, as a family, to give back something to the community we live and raise our families in and to say "Thank You" to those who have supported us for many years. We have many family and friends who have never had the chance to see us perform and we thought this would be another good reason to do this. Alot of our time, money, energy and talents have gone into all our past Christmas productions but continues to strengthen our families and bless each of us. We thank "Lincoln Central Family Neighborhood Center" who has sponsored our concerts for the past 5 years, for all their support making it possible for us to provide this service to the people of Columbus and surrounding communities. Again, we say "Thank You" to the citizens of Columbus, Indiana for making our town a safe, clean and family oriented home for us to live in and raise our families in.
LEI'GACY PERFORMS AT ONE OF THEIR CHRISTMAS CONCERTS
One of our earlier concerts in 2002 was very well received with over 250 people in attendance. We have done 7 more concerts since then and look forward to this years performance on December 20th at 7:00pm "CRUMP THEATRE"
What Will You See At Our Christmas Concert?
This years 2008 Christmas Concert has many fun, funny and emotional songs and skits in it. Over the years we have accumulated many songs that we have enjoyed doing during Christmastime. In the past our Concert has been a three hour show but with time restrictions by the Crump Theatre this years show is only two hours long, so we have had to condense our songlist and choose our most favorite songs, which was tough to do. You will hear alot of "traditional" Christmas tunes, some "Old" Christmas Melodies and see alot of family members doing some pretty funny skits. We will have some "photo's" that will interact with some of our songs as well. The Lei'gacy "Children" will also be performing during our short break and is always a special time for them and our family. We are excited about being able to perform at the Crump Theatre with the great acoustics that it has and it's unique seating arrangements.
A SPECIAL TIME FOR US ALL
THIS IS AN EXCITING TIME FOR OUR EXTENDED FAMILY. BEING ABLE TO BE CLOSE EVERY WEEK, REHEARSING AND PLANNING, SINGING AND LAUGHING, GOOD MOMENTS AND BAD, ALL ADDS TO MEMORIES WE WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD UPON. THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE TO THANK THAT HAS BEEN AN INSTRUMENTAL PART OF OUR FAMILIES BANDS SUCCESS AND I'M SURE SOME WILL BE FORGOTTEN(ACCIDENTLY), BUT TO THOSE REMEMBERED ARE.......OUR FATHER, MARLIN COX FOR ALL YOUR COUNSEL, LOVE AND PATIENCE, WE LOVE AND THANK YOU....OUR MOTHER, LIL WE THANK YOU FOR OUR VOICES AND FOR YOUR CONTINUED LOVE AND GUIDANCE...OUR MANAGER, RICK ROBERTS WE THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO WHICH IS ENDLESS. RICK HAS A BIG, CARING AND LOVING HEART AND HAS BEEN THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE TO OUR GROUP. HIS DEDICATION AND WILLINGNESS TO SERVE EACH MEMBERS NEEDS HAVE BEEN A TREMENDOUS BLESSING TO OUR ENTIRE COX FAMILY AND WE WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO THANK HIM AS MUCH AS HE DESERVES TO BE.....TO EACH OF OUR SPOUSES, WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT ESPECIALLY DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON AS WELL AS THROUGH EACH AND EVERYDAY, WE LOVE YOU AND ALL YOU DO!!!!!!
